Might have to import one from amazon or newegg. The hard disks you can buy from primeabgb. 14TB Seagate Exos cost about 31k.

So 31k + 31k (for redundancy) ?

Plus 700 USD for the qnap 653d, landing at about 60k or so.

Damn, initial investment is too damn high.

I thought of the same but my usage is quite limited in time to warrant such a set-up. In a good month I'd watch 1 movie a week. Anyway I preferred importing BRs or buying used but only imported. Plus the sense of occasion watching a BR brings is lost with downloads :P

Yeah, about 30-50k depending but its super convenient if your usage justifies it.

Edit: honestly though I wouldn't bother with anything but streaming if I didn't have this audio set-up that demands and deserves a high quality source. The convenience is too valuable.

Acquire full BR rips. :giggle:

Nah redundancy will at the end when all 6 bays are occupied. Yeah initial cost is high but it'll pay off in the long run. Your own 70TB Movie/TV/porn server that also acts as dedicated seedbox. And you can expand past 100TB later. r/hoarding would be proud of you :P

Them 4K sitedumps are massive

Transcoding only happens if your target client can't play the file natively. Most modern TVs/Fire stick 4K/android boxes/mobiles can natively play 4K MKV file, so its just streaming. But in case some need transcode, the ones available from Synology/Qnap locally can do one or two 4K transcode streams. Plex is more picky so they have list of which ones that can do HW rranscode.

WW84 is legit one of the worst movies ever made.

Dc needs to rethink WTF it is doing. never been bored so much in a movie , and those mid comedies are worst than indian daily show comedy.

Which one ? I'm thinking of going for one, but the initial investment is huge. NAS + NAS drives.

Which is why most blus have a long list of languages and subtitles included as is. As an example, my Kong: Skull Island disc (sold by Excel) is an Austrian import but also includes Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu audio along with other languages. My Logan disc is (from Excel again) is a German import, but also contains Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu dubs.

How do you figure they’re imports? Perhaps they did it for some niche titles, or certain publishers accommodated the “Indianisation”? Didn’t know about this. Does the CBFC b/w splash screen show up at the start?
Sony DADC had set up a dedicated stamping factory for some games and mostly movies around the end of the PS3 era.

Will skip out on WW after seeing all the feedback lol

I feel people are blowing things out of proportion. Even in its worst sense I'd say above average, but in no ways 'trash'.

73% Audience score in RT.

Manufacturing details are clearly listed at the back of the case, which is where you'll find the CBFC cert as well. It doesn't show up when you play the disc. What they do is import the discs themselves and print the jackets locally.

The only way to have the CBFC logo show up is if you master specifically for India, and the only companies that do/did that were Reliance, Sony, and PVR. Their discs were awful quality, with all the extras stripped out. Thank God 90% of available discs are from Excel, so the DADC plant closing is honestly no big deal  ;)

I saw a bunch of movies in the last couple of days
Mandy - I don't what the *bleep* was the movie. Trippy and violent as sh*t. Didn't like it very much.

Pan's Labyrinth - Really liked this one. Del Toro nailed the atmosphere of the movie and the costumes are f**king phenomenal. Like dude the way those mystical creatures move is so believable. Not possible with CG.

Soul - Really sweet movie and just what you'd expect from Pixar. Totally worth a watch.

Next in line, Sound of Metal, Ford v Ferrari and MI Fallout.

Enjoyed Soul too, people who liked inside out will like it.
Ford v Ferrari is a good watch.
