I think Bollywood hyped commercial movies are going into the same sh*t hole where similar south movies are stinking.

After Solmon Bhoi & gang’s next gen movies I had some hope left in movies that atleast show promise in their trailers.

But I guess just no point…..

Why is the movie called “animal”? Haven’t seen it yet

Coz they are literally treating their audiences like an Animal….aka bhed 🐏 bakri 🐐 .

-Shoot intense drama drama clips only for the trailer…so they can catch attention of the thinking audience.

-Cast Ranbir Kapoor to catch female audience.

-Cast a sexy South Indian actress to catch their attention.

-Add feminism & sexist heavy quotes to catch that audience

-Add pind Punjabi heavy ost & gang style with expensive cars & watches to catch their attention.

-Add a Marathi gangsta with funny Marathi dialog to catch their attention.
-Add a sexy model with semi nude poses to catch that audience.

-Add more gore & action in trailer than in the actual movie

Phir Story,Script,Acting,Editing jaye tell lene.

Really enjoyed Animal. Didn't find anything THAT offensive or triggering to be honest. Just basic stuff that you regularly see in movies. All blown way out of proportion by social media.

Jason Statham's The Beekeeper is solid fun! A little more serious than what the trailers made it out to be.

took mom dad to theatre yesterday to watch Hanuman. It's a well made movie and a good one time watch. What stands out is osme of the CGI, they have done a very good job, and some of it they have totally nailed it. Dad usually sleeps off but he is an avid hanuman fan(reason I took him), this was a late night show and the fact that he saw all of it without sleeping is a good testament of the movie.

Last 5 mins of movie is pure goose bumps, director has absolutely nailed it and it hits you at another level when you listen to hanuman chalisa on big screen and with an amazing sounding speakers. Music director has done a wonderful job with few songs and specially the last part. Hopefully part 2 (Jai Hanuman) lives upto these same standards or surpass it.

men, did u evolve backwards or what?

Ranbir had done a brilliant acting, so did Bobby, so did his in movie brother, etc etc

The Subject of the movie was told brilliantly via Story and acted well upon by the main actor, the editing was good, the BGM was spot on, man, gimme the sh*t that u smoked before writing this reply, i want some of that.

anyways, saw Shaitaan trailer, can't wait :happydance:

Oh Yeah….totally forgot to add one big one:-

-Cast a middle aged star who’s career in prime time was abysmal & hype the f**k out of his role & body as if it’s some sort of legendary come back(from nothing) to lure all the mid life crises men(& even women).

Also since you said it these are the only things that I feel were good enough for a one time watch:-

-The OST & BGM

-Ranbir’s few & far away acting sequences…most of which were shown in trailers itself

-Same for the few good action & gore sequences

-Bobby’s Body & overall look…though largely waisted by giving just 8 min meaningless screen time

-Anil’s eyes as he watches his less than stable son

Apart from these everything is nothing but fake hype & shoe horned sequences about this movie.

Watched Fighter Yesterday. Wahiyaat film , absolute mockery of IAF i would say

As I said these movies are no longer being made for the thinking audiences anymore.

As a cinema we have gone back to late 90’s early 2000 level of creativity.

+ VFX & Good Music.

The run of unhinged badass-ery continues.

If you mix Tarnatino's cinematic sensibility with Denis Villeneuve's filmic presentation, Fury's germanic war vibe, and all the good bits of Zack Snyder, you get Sisu. I've wanted to watch this movie since I caught the trailer while screening Evil Dead Rise. The first knife-through a Nazi skull and I knew I wanted the blu-ray.

Sisu is a ball-gag on all the fruit going around. You know the premise. A no-nonsense, retired, immortal Finnish viking who can induce anxiety with just his name, Aatami representing what war-time men used to be, has now taken to gold digging in his spare time. When he's moving about his way he encounters the Nazis. The Nazis, true to their core philosophy of f**king around and finding out, f**k around with Aatarami, and find out.

It is beautifully shot, with exceptionally filmic camera-work and a colour palette that oozes charisma.

It's like that scene in The Dark Knight when the Joker gives that talk about aggressive expansion, and you see the terror on the face of that black guy who's infallible boss was just cut down in from of him like a commoner, Sisu is that vibe but for all of its runtime of 90 or so minutes. Why so serious?

It hits incredible, is visceral, a worthy superhero story of men and women who don't speak much and who've personalised brutality.

Favourite line: How many mines did you bury here? All of them

Favourite kill: string on a missile

Favourite weapon: will

Most gruesome death: horse on a mine

 9/10

PS: shoutout to @KunjanPSD for getting the blu-ray.

PPS: I think Sisu broke the blu-ray drive in the PS5. By the end it started making this loud whirring, grinding (zzzzzazzziinnnnnggg) noise. Anyone have any pointers?

PPPS: We also watched a bit of Animal right before and after Sisu. Oh my God. That movie hits and hits hard. I really wish they'd released the blu-ray that day.

Why is the entire industry picking on him? Pretty sure Javed Akhtar and tons of actors and directors and other film people portrayed really shitty characters in their heydeys. Female abuse, being creepy, stalker, non consensual touch/hug etc was not just common but glorified by almost all 80s/90s movies.

And FFS Animal is not even a misogynistic movie. Talk about missing the whole point. Akhtar sahab sathiya gaye hai.
