Finally got hold of Central Perk set. It is retiring soon, and couldn't find it anywhere in India for reasonable price: Nanoblock Kirby <3: Lego Tuk Tuk - been eyeing this for a LOOOOOONG time, and it is surpriisingly still not approved for India: Spent the afternoon with Tuk Tuk - this absolutely an incredible build. Filled with tons of unique parts, frame tends to be a tad delicate, hence took fair bit of time. Lots of fun ! Details are excellent: Any Lego fan should absolutely get Tuk Tuk model. It easily bests many 3 in 1 models just by sheer number of unique parts and build experience.16 points

Played for 4 hours straight. Midnight 0:00 to 4:00 AM, non-stop! What a game! Starts with a bang and introduces the overarching main story right away. The combat is quite good so far. Obviously, I'm yet to unlock more spells so will have more opinions later on. The graphics and performance are so, so good. *chef's kiss* The overall visual fidelity and level of detail is mind-blowing. There are 5 graphics options on the PS5. I'm playing on Balanced with an uncapped frame rate. Buttery smooth with a good LOD. Note: the screenshot below only shows 4 options during the initial set-up. But from the in-game pause menu, you can access the fifth option which is 'Fidelity with Ray Tracing.' Yet to try it though. Didn't try it yet because it says it needs to reboot the game for the change to take effect. Some more spoiler-free screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/v6CWQ6T Overall observations: Things I love: - Graphics, details, and overall visual fidelity. Stellar work by Avalanche. They are fans of the lore and it's evident. They have taken the effort, succeeded, and then some! - Tight combat, so far. - Literally no bugs so far. Not even the general open-world bugs. The polish is R* and ND-level. - Voice acting, of all characters. - Generally, good Dualsense implementation (more below). - The village of Hogsmeade is so well made. Almost all houses/shops/buildings can be entered from what I saw. Things I didn't like (minor gripes so far): - Loading times are hilariously more than the current standard. Get ready to notice a split-second black screen even while petting cats. Sometimes, even while going through doors within the castle, the main character just stands and faces the door as there is a tiny loading icon on the door handle for literally a second, and then the character opens the door. It doesn't detract from the experience much, but it could've been better. - Haptics could've been implemented during some cut-scenes too, for added immersion. Missed opportunity, IMO! - The isometric view of the map is a poor design choice. Minor thing, which could've been avoided by having a simple traditional map. - The game to play with Accio to drag the balls to a specific score, is simply bad. I skipped the instructions by mistake and lost all matches and I literally don't know how to control the level of Accio to use and I can't find the instructions again anywhere. Not cool (help, pl0x). - This one is more of a personal thing, but Horizon: Forbidden West has really spoiled me with the facial expression animations of characters during conversations. This feels like a generation behind. But only compared to H: FW. Otherwise, it's pretty standard. ----- I am yet to get a mount and truly step out of the castle. Only gone to Hogmeads on foot. Also, will share more observations about quests once I play some more and get to the core gameplay loop. Until now, the game is still introducing things. Overall, for a person who loves the Harry Potter lore, this game is a dream come true. And yeah, it's wife-approved, too!16 points

Hey Everyone! I'm a long time member here and many of you know me as someone who dabbles in tech a lot. Sometime ago, I started dipping my toes into the realm of 3D Printing and discovered an amazing world that lives beneath. A few of my designs caught a lot of attention over twitter, ultimately leading me to start selling them. It became too much to handle everything over twitter/IMs so I've started an official store https://store.shantanugoel.com This post is to announce the launch of the store to my closest gaming fraternity, and to offer a couple of exclusives: IVG exclusive discount code "CHEATCODE". Use this to take 10% off anything you buy (including even sale items) + Free Shipping. This will work till 30th April. I'll do a raffle for all the people who make an order before 30th April and the winner will get any one item from the store for free. Although the store is just about beginning to take shape. I've added a few things there that might be of interest to you as a gamer and an avid tech user, e.g. A stand for your xbox controller, or a hanging one for your dualsense and pulse headset, or a shelf for your monitor to display your latest figurines, or an airtag compatible case for your apple tv remote. I've a ton of other things incoming and I'm also building a design for a minimal protection cover for the Steam Deck so we don't have to lug the big case around everywhere. Do let me know any of your ideas that you'd like me to make and I will try my best to make them happen. Mods, please let me know if I need to avoid/change anything for this. Few pics here for some of the items: https://store.shantanugoel.com/product/ps5-dual-hanger-and-stand-for-controller-and-headset/ https://store.shantanugoel.com/product/xbox-controller-stand/ https://store.shantanugoel.com/product/apple-tv-remote-case-with-airtag-slot/ https://store.shantanugoel.com/product/monitor-shelf/15 points

Long time since I posted here, here're two of my purchases during the recent amazon sale 1. LG C2 42" , replacing my trustworthy LG 32" QHD monitor which I used with my PC for close to 3 years (give or take a couple of months). PQ is stunning, but I think 42" is too big for any productive office work, not to mention the screen gets insanely bright causing eye strain from a short distance. Using it mainly for media consumption from some 40" - 50" distance and its much easier on the eyes. Dolby vision tv shows/movies on Netflix or Apple TV (apple+) still gets quite bright though. Still fiddling around with the settings to find what works the best. Pairs well with my RTX 3060ti, enabled both VRR & HDR. Starfield gives a a good ~60fps at 4K with all maxed out. Cyberpunk goes down to 30 fps at ray tracing ultra and DLSS auto. Forza horizon can't handle 4K at 60 fps with extreme settings (keeps giving video memory is full error), so might need to tune that up a bit. Star field looks stunning on the display though. I had played some initial sections on my prev LG QHD monitor, but the difference in PQ between this and my prev monitor is striking. Akila city looks so damn gorgeous !! 2. Starfield controller, to play well - starfield Apart from the cool looking aesthetics, the controller has a very good rubber grip making it so easy / comfortable. Hard to go back to the regular controller after using this. Resubscribed to PC gamepass to play this game, thought will finish it in a month or so, but looks like this is gonna take close to 2-3 months to finish and there's cities:skylines 2 releasing soon as well on PC gamepass. So I think the sub is going to stay for some time.15 points

Good grief how did this game get past QA? In the short time I spent with it, it crashed thrice, I got stuck in a window, some npcs teleported through a container, a box, and don't get me started on using a controller on windows. Holy f**k, I got a migraine trying to strafe and turn. It's bonkers it's such an easy thing to catch, I'm amazed no one flagged it as a small thing to fix. I punched a dude and he literally disappeared (took a while for me to find him). Turns out he had bounced off the ground and fell around a box behind me. I spent a good part of it just punching dudes, because the AI is dogshit and you don't need a gun, at least initially. I'm not ready to say whether it's a bad game (it probably is) but in its current state for my sanity I'm going to call it quits.13 points

Long pending case upgrade. I upgraded from an RTX 2070S to RTX 3080 a few months back, but chose to retain my old CM NR600 case. Finally decided to take the plunge and chose the Lian Li Lancool 216 after a lot of deliberation. 5-6 hours later, moved over all the components from the old cabinet to this one. Really liking the looks and love the provisions for cable management. PC Specs: - Ryzen 3600 - GSkill Trident Z 3000Mhz CL16 - 2x8GB overclocked to 3200 - Gigabyte Aorus X570 Pro - Gigabyte Gaming OC RTX 3080 12G - WD SN850 Pro 1TB, Samsung Evo 500GB SATA SSD, 2TB Seagate Green HDD - CM Hyper 212 with a Noctua NF-F12 cooler - Corsair RM850 PSU - Ducky One 3 SF keyboard - MX Master 3 Mouse - Acer XV340CKP 2k Ultrawide (34 inches)13 points
