Long time since I posted here, here're two of my purchases during the recent amazon sale 1. LG C2 42" , replacing my trustworthy LG 32" QHD monitor which I used with my PC for close to 3 years (give or take a couple of months). PQ is stunning, but I think 42" is too big for any productive office work, not to mention the screen gets insanely bright causing eye strain from a short distance. Using it mainly for media consumption from some 40" - 50" distance and its much easier on the eyes. Dolby vision tv shows/movies on Netflix or Apple TV (apple+) still gets quite bright though. Still fiddling around with the settings to find what works the best. Pairs well with my RTX 3060ti, enabled both VRR & HDR. Starfield gives a a good ~60fps at 4K with all maxed out. Cyberpunk goes down to 30 fps at ray tracing ultra and DLSS auto. Forza horizon can't handle 4K at 60 fps with extreme settings (keeps giving video memory is full error), so might need to tune that up a bit. Star field looks stunning on the display though. I had played some initial sections on my prev LG QHD monitor, but the difference in PQ between this and my prev monitor is striking. Akila city looks so damn gorgeous !! 2. Starfield controller, to play well - starfield Apart from the cool looking aesthetics, the controller has a very good rubber grip making it so easy / comfortable. Hard to go back to the regular controller after using this. Resubscribed to PC gamepass to play this game, thought will finish it in a month or so, but looks like this is gonna take close to 2-3 months to finish and there's cities:skylines 2 releasing soon as well on PC gamepass. So I think the sub is going to stay for some time.

Sharing a glimpse from our boys trip to Hong Kong. We had a lot of fun, some crazy adventures - including gambling until 5 in the morning at a casino in Macau, getting flagged at immigration when re-entering HK from Macau and getting questioned in separate rooms, and finally taking a wrong bus 3 hours before our flight that borderline took us out of HK and to the Chinese border near Shenzhen. Will be telling these stories for years to come. But despite the (mis)adventures, an incredible trip nontheless. Skylines, ocean, mountains - Hong Kong's got it all and every element is worth experiencing. Also, this felt like an accomplishment since I could pay for my entire trip as a result of being an employed adult now. To more adventures in 2024, happy new year folks!

The subwoofer opens a whole new dimension of sound. - Samsung Frame 55’ - Samsung Q600B - PS5 and XSX - Few collectors edition statues - Blu Ray collection, unfortunately had to be put away inside the drawer due to lack of space.

Both wife and I switched back to Android from iOS. Samsung Galaxy Flip 5 & Pixel 8. My iPhone 12 mini battery was barely lasting the day with moderate usage and battery capacity had reduced to around 82%. I really wanted a high refresh rate screen and didn't want to spend 1.3L on the 15 pro (the camera really doesn't matter to me) - so moved back to Android. It was a pain moving the whatsapp chats over (phone exchange), but all settled now and not really missing iOS tbh. Wife just wanted the new Pixel. She never liked the move to iOS from her previous Pixel 3. Got a good exchange rate for our old iPhone 12 minis on Amazon & FK. Much better than the cashify rates. Wife's Pixel 8. My Galaxy Flip Z 5

Hi everyone. I've now graduated, and I am officially an engineer. I am aware this is a massive accomplishment, and a rare feat in this country. But in all seriousness, I shall miss college. I did get placed with consulting firm Bain and Company at my campus during my final year - but my joining was deferred until Q1, 2024. I've been enjoying the past 3 months as sort of a final summer vacation. Happy to say I have now secured an alternate role - as a Product Analyst, with Sprinklr! get to stay at home, but work in Gurgaon where all my friends work so (and I get paid a good bit more) Hoping to buy both parents an apple watch with salary money. If anyone has first job advice - I am all ears.
